In 1971 I was stationed in Can Tho as a young US Army soldier. It does my heart well so see how lovely the country is now and the war is hardly part of their memory.

I AM SO PROUD OF THE PEOPLE OF VIETNAM AFTER SO MANY WARS WAGED BY EVERYONE..................... I THINK THEIR HEART IS VERY STRONG AND THAT THEY HAVE DEEP DEEP AND LOVING FEELINGS OF THEIR HOMELAND AND CULTURE. THEY ARE A UNIQUE PEOPLE WITH PRIDE OF PLACE AND HOME!!!!!

I served in the U.S. army during the Vietnam War (1970-1971). I was crew chief on a V-100 Commando Car. We were stationed at Quang Tri Combat Base. We ran Convoy escort and fire support for convoys going as far south as DaNang on highway One, and as far West as Vandergriff Combat Base near Khe Son on highway nine. We escorted convoys carrying ammunition and supplies to all of the forward Fire Support Bases along the DMZ. We got hit by a rocket propelled grenade while traveling just west of Dong Ha on highway 9. Two of our crewmen were wounded, but we all made it home alive I really enjoy seeing the pictures of modern day Vietnam. I'm glad the country is at peace and enjoying prosperity. I would love to go back someday for a visit. However, it's doubtful that I will get that opportunity.

I was in South Vietnam during the Vietnam war and later returned in 2010 and 2013. I wish the Vietnamese people all the very best and that our two countries NEVER again fight one another.

Respect for Vietnam.. This country is growing rapidly in almost all sectors. Keep going and be the proud of South East Asia. Love from Indonesia!

Vietnam is the best place in the world I would say. I am was lucky to see in my eyes Vietnam 11 month. People are super awesome. I never forget I have a many friends on my Facebook page I would say about 70 friends. I love this people very much ,was treating me very well and caring that’s how are friendly.i want to back again in the future.Thank you for the video.i wish you all the best.

I've just come back from Vietnam and i didn't find it 'impoverished and isolated'! Vietnamese people are happy and very proud people, I found them respectful, helpful and very polite.

What do I think of Vietnam. I love the Vietnamese culture and people the more I see and know. 100% totally impressed !

I travelled to North Vietnam in 2007 and visited extensively. It is a great country on a path to rapid development in agriculture and industry. As an Indian I really felt at home in this wonderful country. Way the country is fast developing, soon the country shall move to a developed nation. We Indian love this fiercely patriotic friendly and brave people.
