    I have done countless of these on lots of years of rams! Most times you find the play when they come into the shop because the axle has broken off at the outer joint!!! Good old northern Ontario

    I've seen this in Texas with less than 80k miles on these Rams. I think it's a poor design due to not enough length of the stub shaft into the CV for support. It also gets accelerated wear with a leveling or lift kit causing more angle on the CV joints.

    What about tool being locked out if you dont have NASTF in the next few weeks?
  • That’s a very common problem and it doesn’t have to just be up north. It can be anywhere anything driven on the dirt road mainly because it’s a crappy design by Chrysler. Why don’t they just stick the spines inside behind a regular rubber seal works great on every other ride.
