OUT OF BUSINESS! It Starts HERE For JEEP, DODGE And RAM!

My name is Brandon and I am a used car dealer. I created Car Questions Answered to share the ins and outs of the used car market from my perspective. I share with you updates on car prices, what's happening at the dealer auctions, and what it's like being a dealer. My goal is to share information to help you make the best decisions while buying a car to save you money. I do not want car dealers taking advantage of you.

Thanks for watching and please feel free to leave any comments you may have in the section below!

Can't put an $85k sticker on a $30k SUV. Eventually you run out of stupid people to buy them.
  • @ALIYA.VARELA
Stellantis is pretty much blaming us working people for being too poor to buy their off-target vehicles.

I bought my house two years ago for $150,000...$110,000 for a car sounds absolutely ridiculous to me. I remember back in the early 2000's top line corvette was like $50,000 and I thought that was a boat load of money....FFS these guys need to get their shit together.

When the CEO of Jeep/Ram flies in from Europe and speaks with a heavy accent, it's easy to spot the disconnect with Jeep/Ram's customer base.

I would love to buy a new truck, but I would hate to pay the crazy price. So I keep driving my old truck. F### these companies and their prices.

I went to a local dealership here in Ohio. There were $60,000 stickers on V6 ram 1500's absolutely delusional
  • None of these trucks are working trucks. They need to be bare bones to get to point A to point B for maximum profit. When my father was a full-time carpenter finisher the only luxury in his truck was the radio, everything was manual no electric this that or the other thing. Every penny he made went either back into his business, bills, and raising five kids with wife. No sane working man would go into debt for a 80k plus truck that's a down payment for a decent house. These CEO's are drunks not the alcoholic ones if you get my meaning.
  • It's ALWAYS someone else's fault. The C-suite folks just ride that gravy train until the wheels fall off. They don't give a damn about the little guy that loses a job in the meantime. They collect their green and when it's time to bail they get a golden parachute. That's what is going on.

I just bought a RAM 1500 truck 4 door from my friend who I trust: 1 car payment of $2,500. I have no more car payments. When I told the RAM dealer I could put 20% down on the $10,000 truck they had they never told me the price cost breakdown. They just came back and said “OK you are all set $2000 down and $429 a month for 48 months.” When I asked for a breakdown and interest rate I discovered they had me pegged at 23% interest with $3-4,000 in “Accessory FEES”—like nitrogen air in the tires, window etching on the windshield on and on. Let them eat grass if go bankrupt
  • My GF and i went to a dodge dealership last month to look at a used SUV that she was about to buy.... At the very end after they only offered $12,000 for trade in and right before they were about to run her credit they go "Oh we also have a APEX tracking device installed and its only $4,500. We immediately walked out. A week later we went to another dealer to look at the same kind of used car. They offred $15,000 for the trade in and the same APEX gps tracker was only $750. These dodge dealerships are seriously hurting lol
  • I’m 43, I have 2 younger siblings. When I was growing up my parents bought a 1994 Dodge caravan (base) it only had A/C and hand crank windows in the front and rear windows were vented windows that pop open it was all manual. The MSRP was $17,100. That’s all you need, you don’t need all these fancy safety system, warning system, radar cruise control. Just put your damn phone in the glove box and pay attention to the road. Your cars got so expensive because you’ve change the purpose of a car from a transportation device to an amusement park.
  • They know full well those trucks are NOT worth no 80 to 100k. They need to do some serious streamlining on their prices.
  • @MFS45
48% net income drop is MASSIVE. Holy crap.
  • My local Dodge/Jeep dealer has more vehicles parked on the grass than they have parked on the asphalt. I am waiting for 40-50% off of sticker, and I might consider buying one of these POS's at that price. I remeber a time back in the early 1990's when a Jeep Cherokee was a nice, affordable 4 door vehicle, and the mini vans were a vehicle that most familys could afford. Stelantis deserves everything that they have coming.

If you are not in the financial market space right now, you are making a huge mistake. I understand that it could be due to ignorance, but if you want to make your money work for you... prevent inflation
  • JEEP fanatic here. I've had 8 CJ,YJ,TJs. Stellantis has completely destroyed their Wrangler sales by raising the price 58% up market. They could sell all the Wranglers they make..if they'd come back down to a reasonable price. I can't fathom how Tavares even has a job..nevermind..his $38,000,000 pay??? How do you destroy your most profitable divisions of Stellantis..blame ANYONE else you can think of..and get a BONUS for it..SMMFH???????
  • These trucks are only worth 35,000$ . These prices are insane. Man, these vehicles are half the price of a moderate house .

I drive a 2012 Ram 1500 Tradesman Crewcab 4x4 with the 4.7 liter V-8 gas engine. I bought it new for exactly $30,100. I just crossed over 193,000 miles. Last year, before a trip from Texas to Buffalo New York to pick up a motorcycle, I sent it to my mechanic with instructions to repair “anything he found”. He found a pinhole leak in the radiator which was replaced, installed a new serpentine belt, new plugs/coils all around and even fixed a small issue with the turn signal lever. Oil/ filter change along with fresh radiator fluid, brake fluid and service to both diffs. $1500 later I hooked up to a 5x10 box trailer and headed north on that 1400 mile trip. Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, a piece of Pennsylvania and into New York. Two days up and three days back (I got sick and laid up a day to rest). Average fuel economy was right at 20.5 mpg….towing a box trailer. When the truck was new, and in favorable conditions, I was able to hit 22mpg on the highway and it still gets 17-18 around town. This truck is my daily driver and does everything I ask and more. If these companies don’t get a handle on prices, my next truck WILL be an older model (1999-2005) that does not have all the fancy touch screens, Bluetooth, power everything and built-in obsolescence that comes with these “new” vehicles. I can find a 20 year old truck, put $10-15,000 into refurbishing it, and still be paying out 1/3 of the cost of a new one. No plans to get rid of it anytime soon. My dream would be to consult with someone like Gale Banks, tell him what I want to accomplish and have him build me a vehicle. Of course, the auto makers will never do such a thing…..because if they did there would be almost no repairs ever needed on such a well built machine. 🤨

I'm in Florida all the dodge trucks around me are marked down 15-20k and that's still double what they're worth!!!
