Castle Hassall-"Dreamtime"-this song may have inspired William Gibsons Music Master character

this is my song "Dreamtime", i think the vocals are clearer on this version, it's just me recording it onto my phone so i try to do my best with it to get a decent sound by placing the phone in the best place i can think of so the microphone picks up my voice and guitar ok..

it's not the best guitar performance I've ever done but i think the singing is a bit clearer than i used to sing

over the years i have wondered if the original version of this song (which had electronic drums and atmospheric electric guitar parts etc), and my meeting and talking with him at a book signing at a book shop by The Bridges in Edinburgh, may have inspired William Gibsons Music Master character, after in the mid 1990s(?) i gave him a copy of my songs on a tape of mine, called " Of Alchemys Universe".. but this explanation is part of a long story, which i will elaborate on later..

( the essence of me thinking that is due to the fact that the Music Master character only comes to the lead character in the story on Bridges,in virtual reality cities that the lead charactersv father had made FOR her (the line in the song on the tape i gave him, at a shop at a place CALLED "The Bridges" in Edinburgh) says "I'm flying low over Cities that i made just for you" and i gave William Gibson the tape that had the original version of this song at a shop that was on "The Bridges", where i met him when i was wearing a long black jacket, which the Music Master wears in the story..

there's other stuff too, from our conversation we had, where i asked him what he thought of the ways the (new prototype invention at the time) new virtual reality glasses could be used (it was at the signing of " Virtual Light " and i had no idea his book covered that very topic!)..

it might be a coincidence, all of that stuff, but it would mean so much to me if meeting me, and listening to my song, helped him think of that character and plot device of the Music Master and cities that someone had had made for someone..i would love to just know that he listened to my tape of my attempt at an album ("Of Alchemys Universe") while he was thinking of and maybe writing his next book, that had the Music Master in it

i hope you have a really nice day if you are reading this. and i hope my little bit of history helps give people something to think about if you are William Gibson fans.. i would highly recommend reading his novels, from the first one "Neuromancer".. (Also It is William Gibson who first used the term " Cyberpunk"! )/ i love the atmospheres he creates in his books. i kind of wish he'd do more of that atmosphere stuff, the characters be comes up with, like Case and Molly are really Great characters too. Well worth a read!
