Afghanistan one year later: Taliban at its strongest in over 20 years

On Sunday, Amazon delivered some groceries to me. I was doing some yardwork. The driver's name was Malik. He is from Afghanistan. We immediatelly began talking. He pulled out his phone and startted showing me pictures. He fled the country in 2014. He was a soldier in the Afghan army working with the US Army. He showed me pics of his soldier friends. American soldiers that were dead now. Afghan soldiers that were dead now. Then he showed me pics of his family. He began crying. All of them... dead. Afghanistan is a tragedy. Malik is a good guy. I hugged him. I won't forget Malik.
