I revisited the first Batushka album the other day and it still absolutely slays. I'm still banging the "real Batushka" drum.
  • I'm glad Harakiri for the Sky made it to the honorable mentions. My absolute favorite band of all time!
  • @wyattxhim
Human Serpent Peste Noire Deathspell Omega (even though they formed in 1998 their full lengths for the 21st century is substantial for black metal ) Ungfell Sühnopfer Forteresse Véhémence Pensees Nocturnes Spektr Azelisassath Kriegsmaschine Cénotaphe a few that come to mind

Funny that this video shows how much of a conservative I am, hahaha. Sorry for some missing information and my confusion. I've been sick for almost two months and by brain is still rewiring. Still hope you found some interesting bands to listen to! Cheers

Grima is the GOAT. Gleb and Max Sysoev are brothers and the geniuses behind Grima, Second to Sun, and Ultar. Gleb’s vocals are absolutely incredible, he’s probably my favorite black metal vocalist. Seriously listen to them, please. Tales of the Enchanted Woods, Will of the Primordial, and Rotting Garden are all phenomenal albums. Frostbitten isn't quite as strong, but still has a couple really good tracks.

Great video! Aara, Craft, Darkspace, Deathspell Omega, Evilfeast, Faidra, Midnight Odyssey, Stormkeep, Vehemence and Warmoon Lord some fantastic modern black metal bands too.
  • I've seen Gaerea and Grima on a festival... it was so fucking insane I cannot even describe it with words
  • @Ironfist85hu1
I like these lists. Broadens my perspective. I know some nice bands from your channel, and this is one of the reasons I am subscribed.
  • @MedMan86
Happy that Grima made it to the list…. They are fucking awesome, saw them in Hamburg last year together with Kanonenfieber…. Awesome music and stage presence. They played with 3 guitars and no bass, that was crazy to see… Frank, gib denen echt mal ne Chance. Ist wirklich ne geile Band ;)
  • I got to see Spectral Wound in June, the show was incredible. I also saw Hellripper from the honourable mentions list last month, the crowd was mental 😊
  • Not sure why I feel that you're like the best metalhead friend I never had. Even I feel nostalgic in most of your videos. I wish I was in Germany to hang out with you. Keep rockin', Farvann \m/
  • @wormfost5578
Grima is something you should dive into. It’s a special kind of thing. Nice production (which you might not like) but, great cold and ethereal vibes with trancey melodies. Very catchy and atmospheric.
  • @TheSuffocater
Glückwunsch zu 100.000 subs !! Geiler Kanal , immer coole videos, cooler Tüp !!
  • @evertnip2347
Dude, yes! These are all on point and couldn't agree more
  • @jjtklr93
Hey, thanks for good recommendations over the last few weeks!
  • @mikeycfc4638
Happiest to see Ellende on the list. Recently saw them live in Newcastle. Really hope they come back. Absolutely amazing stuff
  • @joshifan29
Next time Minenwerfer, Sale Freux, Skyforest, and Thy Light will make the list. Incredible bands
  • Great list. There are several bands listed that I love (Grima, Uada, Gaerea, Der weg einer Freiheit) and glad your audience knows great black metal when they hear it.
  • I fucking love your channel, Farvann 🤘🏼 I’ve been binge watching all your videos all day and learned a couple of good bands from you
