Hey Theorists! In the video at 11:56, the Breakage Rates for the More Chips Bag and the Average Bag are accidentally swapped; the More Chips Bag Breakage Rate is actually 79.8%, and the Average Bag Breakage Rate is 74.9%. Sorry for the mix up!

I'm a Packaging Engineer and I went to school for packaging science. I'm glad to see your testing confirmed the stuff I paid a ton money for, to learn at Michigan State University.
-
Pringle’s with like a 99% unbroken rate: pathetic
-
I think what this tells me is I'd rather have a lot of smaller doritos that can be packed tighter together (with a more sturdy casing maybe like pringles) than the unoptimized, fragile crushable mess we get
-
I thought I figured it out when I was trying to have off brand Fritos and couldn’t open the bag because it was filled to the brim. I was like “oh they just do it for convenience”
-
Shout outs to Pringles for never selling air
-
“So bad at storage” *sad Pringle sounds
-
I'd rather have a bag completely full of broken Doritos than a bag less than quarter full of whole Doritos that got broken during shipping
-
3:31 every introvert be like
-
Can we take a moment to appreciate that Pringles has full cans 100% of the time
-
Doritos to Food Theorist: "Yes, we already did these experiments."
-
"This product is sold by weight, not by volume" is stated right on the package, or at least it used to be.
-
Something that the intro just made me think of that I think would be a great @foodtheory episode is how many bags of Doritos, which are 16% chip and 84% air each, must one person consume in order to eat a bag of Doritos that is 100% chip and 0% air?
-
Not a thing on Game Theory, Film Theory or Food Theory has been as scary as watching MatPat reaching for Doritos with a second left hand...
-
My store manager at target would always say “you can’t sell air,” I worked in the electronics department where we had an air duster a few aisles away and a brisk walk away from the chip aisle lol
-
Shoutouts to Utz's Cheese Ball jars for stuffing maximum value into one jar.
-
Hence why I love Pringles. Definitely not in mash potato form, but chip form. They have perfect packaging, shape and size.
-
Doritos should put this link on their chip bags saying why there’s so much air.
-
"You cant sell air" Me: * Remembers Dehydrated Water *
-
Wait that's so true. I never questioned why doritos go bad quick inside the bag when I assumed it was air
