Am I the only one who loved that Miss Ellie never carried an actual purse but just her little clutch? LOL!! Barbara Bel Geddes was such a beautiful woman and an incredible actress----she truly brought this character to life.

One of the my favourite scenes. You can see the hurt in JR's face... The only time he really listened was for Mamma and Daddy. Miss Ellie stole these scenes when she stood up to them. Loved it so much... Dallas always had this heart and the family, it was always a good family show :)

Maybe I'm stuck in the past but there is nothing on TV currently that holds me like these old soaps. Maybe I don't give current TV a chance... the bar is set so high because of shows like this one. I haven't found anything that comes close.

That was a great and powerful scene. Miss Ellie is right, Jock would be appalled to see how Ewing Oil has been mishandled by J.R. and Bobby. It's really sad that Jim Davis, the actor who portrayed Jock Ewing, passed away too soon in Dallas' early run.

“You are not serious people”. For fellow Succession/Dallas fans this scene reminds me of Succession Season 4 episode when Logans tells his kids they aren’t serious people and they don’t deserve to run Waystar/Royco. These two series have so many similarities its crazy.
