Sintra, in Portugal, is a charming community about 40 min by train from Lisbon. On this day trip, we visited some of the top attractions in town, starting with Palácio da Pena (Pena Palace), a colorful fairytale-like palace on the mountain. From there, we went to Castelo dos Mouros (Moorish Castle), just 5 min away. And this was just the beginning of the day. More things to do in Sintra in the next vlog! 😉

► WHO AM I?

I am a Brazilian-American journalist living in Florida. After traveling the world working with sports, news, and events for over 15 years, I realized that what I really love is the travel part of it all. So I exchanged life in the newsrooms and stadiums for the daily challenge of being an independent content producer. I created this channel to share the beauties of the world... stuff that for so long I only kept to myself. Also to help people planning similar trips and to inspire more people to venture out and enjoy life!

P.S.: The funny guy who appears in the vlogs is my husband, Gordon. He is Canadian-American and he's actually camera-shy, that's why he's behind the camera most of the time 😉

Whaaat? New video already??? 😁😆😅😂 It turns out we ended up with a lot of content from this day trip to Sintra, so I decided creating 2 separate videos. Here's the first, and the second is (hopefully) coming up on the weekend 😉. EDIT: It's now here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFExmxIPNe0&list=PLUt18OGs5Ho56ikkj6Fj3AFcw6_S-x9NK&index=6 . Wow, I don't even remember when was the last time I managed to upload twice in a week 😁. If that happens now, I'll be so happy 😁😁😁. Again, as a reminder, this entire trip was before the pandemic. Hope you're all safe and doing

I love how the way you tell about the history of the places, so clear and easy to understand
  • @elmarta79
Nice video and a typical crazy busy Pena palace day before covid. The car problem is fixed now, no more cars allowed to drive up the hill besides taxi and busses. The fog coming and going is typical Sintra, it has a micro climate so the clouds and fog can come anytime, winter and summer. Sintra is a 3day experience, my favorites are Quinta da Regaleira, Palacio Monserrate and the convent of the Capuchos. I was guiding in Sintra for the last 3 years.
