When I was younger all I watched was Markiplier, Pewdiepie, Smoshgames, DanTDM, and IBALLISTICSQUID. Nowadays content is extremely different, most classic YouTubers have left because they've either lost interest in the platform or they left for how stressful YouTube is in itself. Some YouTubers like the Vannoss crew, Pewdiepie, Jacksepticeye, DanTDM, and others, have changed their content to the point it its mildly interesting to watch. Most of these channels have sponsors, and there's extra emphasis on "content", especially when nothing happens and the YouTubers sit back and comment on their "lack of content", don't get me started on how I get about ads that last longer than the actual video. All in all, everyone remembers YouTube as a community video sharing platform, but ever since Google pushed the app to be money focused its been harder to enjoy since gaming YouTubers are slowly becoming fakers (a tiny thud and they scream for 30 seconds + colourful editing, then pretend nothing happened to further confirm how fake their reaction was). It's all money money money scream scream scream + colourful editing.
  • this is honestly an accurate yet funny analysis of yt gaming content 👌 10/10 imo

  • 0:30 that’s very, very true. as of right now, my most popular video among my current well edited videos is a 25+ minute video, barely edited, just plain old fun.
  • @Tele230
0:26 unfortunately true, unless gaming channels have a bunch of people or a super original idea (which is tough to begin with) you probably wont go far competing against people like dream

3:00 As somebody who has been playing Roblox since early 2015.It’s sad that may didn’t know about what happened to the pals. Also, a lot of things have changed. We have animations in roblox,Concerts,so many different things we definitely wouldn’t have back in 2015-2016. Also 3:59 May’s face when Bryson’s song plays in the background.Absolutely hilarious

I tried doing a gaming channel, but I couldn’t bother continuously editing videos of the same game, I’d rather livestream it.
