6:52 "What's happening?" Gilbert actually remembers he doesn't want to hurt you so he releases his grasp and fall to his knees crying at the beast he's become before he loses it again. That is some of the coolest lore through gameplay I've ever seen.

my favorite part about Bloodborne PSX is that Lilith's reaction to some of the bugs online was "I don't want to fix that because it's funny"

Have I ever mentioned how glad I am that Iron Pineapple has such a positive attitude about games, like even if its a bad game he doesn't needlessly dunk on it he tires to find something good to say about every game and is willing to admit if a game just isn't his style that doesn't mean it's awful. It's just really refreshing.

This man literally cant stop playing 7 souls-like games I've never heard of

Something interesting I noticed about source of madness: generally speaking, most modern interpretations of Lovecraftian monsters are fairly tame. Cthulhu is just a big squid guy, for a popular example. However, Source of Madness went absolutely balls deep into the whole incomprehensible idea behind Lovecraftian monsters. You really shouldn't be able to make any sense of the monsters you see. Maybe not great for gameplay but I absolutely love the interpretation.
  • @yakkocmn
surprised you haven't talked about that new pocket monster game, i heard it has a dodge roll but it's pretty niche
  • Something that most of the bad entries in this series get wrong is that in the souls games, you can die easily sure, but the enemies die just as fast. The fodder enemies typically die in two or three hits, and even the big boys will take maximum ten hits to defeat (bosses are the exception obv). This means the games never feel like a slog, and make the extreme difficulty exciting rather than boring
  • @Br0leg
Knowing gaming industry, this series will never run out of games to be played. Good.

Bloodborne PSX made me very happy as a PC gamer! Such a great project <3

Achilles: "Troy will burn" Hector: calling Archers in a 1v1 Homer turning in his grave.
  • @MondoMonkeyAxN
I love how there's devs in the comments section talking about how much they appreciate what you say about their games. It's very wholesome and let's us know they're listening to the community
  • @arthurhill8185
That Kill/Spare choice is weird. in the original Iliad, Achilles tied hector's corpse behind his chariot and dragged it behind him until it was completely destroyed from banging against the ground.
  • @ChengTeoh
Absolutely agree that Big Head Mode should be in every game ... brings back NBA Jam memories for me.
  • @TheLoveBomberz
You used to be able to kill NPCs in Hardland but they removed that feature. It was so much more fun. The NPCs and monsters would actually fight each other.
  • @holloway4058
Source of madness looks sick. The AI generated enemies really evoke that “indescribable” aspect of lovecraft’s creatures.
  • @CheshireCad
Iron Pineapple: "...it deserves way more eyes on it than it has." Micolash: *visibly excited*
  • @Jedislayer19
Being able to turn the dogs friendly was heartwarming. Wish more games had that feature.
  • @EatWave
14:10 Achilles killing Hector is supposed to be the Good Ending for the Trojan War. Hector's body vanishing as soon as he is killed removes the scene where Priam pleads with Achilles to stop defiling Hector's corpse by dragging it along behind his horses near the city walls so that he can be given a proper burial. Maybe it would have fit a Souls-Like more if Hector would rise as a mighty undead warrior if the plea is ignored.
