Mustard is actually a common secret ingredient in mac and cheese at restaurants. It makes it a little sharper and more complex. it's usually added to the mornay sauce and shouldn't be strong enough to immediately identify.

When I was in high school, they had this cheap but REALLY sweet tomato ketchup for people to use on their food and I loved it. I loved it so much. Too much. Too much to the point where I thought it was so sweet… I put it on my flapjack at lunch. People would just stare at me and I would always say the same thing: “Tomatoes are fruit tho, so this is technically jam” They still didn’t want to talk to me though and I don’t blame them lol😂

not necessarily "illegal" but definitely weird is ketchup and pizza. it stems from my school days where the school pizza never had enough sauce on it so i used ketchup. it's oddly nice. of course now i don't do that as often and i just use marinara instead, but occasionally i'll pull out the ketchup to relive my childhood

Fun fact! Since the mustard has quite a bit of acidity to it, adding some to a cream-heavy mac and cheese makes the flavours more pronounced while not drowning them out as long as you stick to a solid teaspoon or two! This is why you squeeze lemon into certain creamy sauces and dishes :))) (I'm a huge mustard fan and have professional chef friends lol)

I knew a girl who mixed 3 different sodas together (coke, fanta, sprite). She also dipped her chips in soda. She also poured ketchup in soda and drank it with a straw. These 3 things all happened at the same time with the same drink. I watched her do it step by step. I was upset but we were 10-year-olds at a birthday party and I didn't want to fight her while my Mum was watching.
