Hmm not having a bunch of Schuko outlets with 3.6 kW each is such a pity. That would really make it an easier car for contractors. And for making it into a camper van, that would be gold!

You should really feedback to VW that an electrical outlet inside the cargo van is a big plus. Lots of guys would love to be able to charge tools or run power tools on the go.

Looks like pretty good interior space. The Europeans get it right when it comes to packaging. See also: Econoline vs. Sprinter. There's a reason the Eurovans are taking over the U.S. market.

3:24 That's where you find the manual/emergency release latch for the charging port cover. In the highly unlikely event that you completely run out of battery and you can't open your charging port cover, or if the charging port cover will not open for some reason, just reach inside that receptacle and pull the cable/latch located inside to manually open the charging port cover.

Would love for an optional solar panel on the roof or something, I bet this can be an awesome platform for camper vans or conversions as well if VW play their card rights... Could be their camping version of the old Caravelle and stonervans :D

3:21 Fixation ring 1.3 kN; that is the max force you can safely pull on it when tying down cargo, or cargo can pull on it when cornering or braking. To give an idea how much this is, if the ring was placed in the ceiling and hold something vertical: F=Mg; M=F/g; F= 1.3 kN = 1300 N; g= 9.81 m/s2 = ~10 m/s2; M= 1300/10 = 130 kg.

Hey Björn a important question for me is. when the chargeport is open and also to the Door. is it an problem, with the door? I have seen so many videos and there is nothing information about this "problem"

Looks like a good design for small business like maintenance, gardening or delivery. Would fit a large TV people keep ordering with home delivery. I rather have bare interior and 3cm more height than some fabric that might rip when loading long items, furniture or sheets... Even a TV box can do damage.

The original Kombi commercial only had a quarter lined roof/interior too, its kind of nice to see that throwback (i had a '74)

Björn, have you tried whether the sliding door touches the cover of the charging port when it is fully open, or does that work without conflict?

I assume that you can still open the sliding side door while the charge port is in use.
