Skinny vs Fat Hair vs bald Pimp vs Eunuch Chaos vs Order
  • I love Varys and Littlefinger's banter. They are so magnificently bitchy to one another.

''Disturbing news from far away. Havent you heard'' hahahah epic line. Just when baelish thought he had him

Conversations between Varys and Baelish are my favorite scenes in the show. It is probably one of the few instances where the conversation is honest. They know the game and they've been major players of it for years. During these private dialogues, they have too much respect for one another as opponents to even attempt to use false modesty or flatterings that they show others.

THIS is what's missing from the newer series. no dragons, massive battles, cgi, big heroic music, just two good actors with a brilliant script

Love how Varys' expression changes when LF mentions the "foreign dignitary".

I don't interpret this scene as Littlefinger outsmarting Varys. Varys is a master actor, and while his dismay was probably real, he only let it show on his face to goad LF into continuining his little monologue. He probably wanted to see if LF actually knew anything beyond the fact that he met with Ilyrio.

This is the best damn scene in all of GoT. The wits, the intrigue, the subterfuge and chicanery is off the charts.

Imagine if those two teamed up. They would fucking rule.

Littlefinger could be the best player if it wasn't for his Achilles heel, which is his great lust for Catelyn and later Sansa, which I think will be his undoing. Varys has the advantage of being asexual, which means he can never be swayed or tempted by lust. He is focused completely on his goals.
  • I love it when these two go at it. It's like watching Sherlock Holmes argue with V vendetta

Varys' face when Baelish mentions him meeting Illyrio, the 'foreign dignitary', possibly the only time he looks genuinely worried in the entire show.

When Varys said "strictly speaking". I think that was the only time I've ever heard him snap at someone. He sounded like he was sick of Petry's shit lmao.
