Pierre Poilievre, a life-long conservative, is the current front-runner in the Canadian federal Conservative Party's leadership race, and a contender for the next Prime Minister of Canada. Mr. Poilievre has served as a trusted senior cabinet minister in Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s government and as a Member of Parliament for seven terms. He grew up in Calgary and graduated from the University of Calgary with a degree in International Relations.

We discussed his election efforts, Canada’s energy infrastructure and economic policy, as well as Poilievre’s mission to tackle the housing crisis, lower the cost of living, defund Canadian media, and develop Canadian natural resources.

  • As a twenty year Liberal voter, I never thought I'd vote Conservative let alone join the Conservative party. While I may disagree here and there on some issues, I am 100% behind Pierre for leader of the Conservatives and hopefully our next PM.
  • It’s rare to see a politician who is willing to sit down for a two hour unscripted discussion. For those of us interested in long form discussion and getting insight into the mind of a leader, this talk between Jordan Peterson and Pierre Poilievre is a must watch.

I was a member of the Liberal party for over 40 years. Never Again!!!
  • @MrPodgikins
I've never heard a politician speak who I actually liked. This guy is the change we desperately need.
  • @JoeBeaudette
Never thought I’d see the day when a conservative candidate was the only one truly championing for the working class. I’ve been strictly an NDP voter in the 18 years since I became old enough to vote - except for the horrible mistake I, along with many other Canadians, made in 2015 when I voted for sunny ways that never came - and have never voted conservative once. But that will change in the next cycle, provided you manage to stave off the establishment plant that is Jean Charest and secure the CPC leadership. I look forward to voting for you Mr. Poilievre. Bout time Canadians get some real leadership again.

Every Canadian should have to watch this whole video. If Trudeau was capable of having a conversation like this, I'd watch it too, but he's not.
  • It's very comforting how familiar and knowledgeable he is on so many of the fields he talks about
  • @rg5445
At 54yrs old and having lived in Canada all that time I’ve never seen our country in such danger.
  • Throughout the interview I kept thinking that Trudeau could never manage such a discussion, because he has no depth. Thank you, Jordan and Pierre, for treating us to your intellectual honesty.
  • @richpaydirt
I’m an American from Idaho and I’m voting for Pierre! Well, I’m going to try anyway.
  • @georgeparkin4420
Pierre is Canadian hope. Don't let us down. Smashing young chap. Thank you for your help.
  • @samt8017
Notice Pierre's face and listen to his voice. He's really thinking of his answers and really listening to the questions. a great human interview. nothing scripted just a pure raw conversation. Well Done
  • @MMDelta9
Poilievre doing now what every Conservative should have done years ago. Talk with the single most influential Canadian of our era.
  • @Sigman-xg9mf
I’d vote for Pierre in a heartbeat if I was a Canadian citizen. He’s so true and honest and open. It’s a breath of fresh air! Go Pierre!!
  • Pierre, such a well spoken person that shows the importance of intellectuality and education. It's our only hope to make Canada great again. Vote for Pierre!
  • @fshoaps
The fact Pierre is on Peterson's podcast shows he has a greater understanding of Canadian modern Conservatism than any of the last leaders.
  • Watching two true Canadian leaders speaking about real issues is a refreshing sight to see. Thanks for all you both do.
  • @rjrgates
It's been a year now. Is there any chance of you getting Mr. Pierre poilievre back on anytime soon? I really enjoyed this. Thank you so much!!
