Deep in the South American rainforest in the country of Guyana lies the Essequibo River which is full of wildlife like tapirs, anacondas, and eagles. Follow along as Rainer and Sandy adventure the rainforest and seek out the Harpy Eagle in the canopy of the Rainforest. The Harpy Eagle is the one of the greatest predators in the rainforest, with claws longer than a grizzly bear, and the sharpest beak in nature. These caring parents rule the canopy.

This research party has to be super dedicated to put in this much effort to be able to film and study the pair of Harpy Eagles. The Hot Subtropical climate and the insects they had to put up with to make this documentary, just added to this difficult assignment. It would have been more interesting if the film crew and all that made this documentary were introduced to the viewing audience.

Excellent Video. Thank you. It is my most favorite Eagle. They are majestic. I can't imagine the female actually being able to raise the eaglet on her own. I wonder what happened to the male. Thanks for bringing this to us.
