I love how the Dowager ALWAYS turns to Carson to back her up when she disapproves of something, and he ALWAYS does. Like the cocktails: "They look a bit exciting for so early in the evening. Don't you agree, Carson?" "Better avoided, Milady." "Yes... I think so."

Maggie Smith’s performance was magic. The Dowager Countess of Grantham was the most marvelous character ever. I was thrilled and mesmerized by her.

3:22 I love this moment so much. Imagine not only meeting your hero, but working with them on a daily basis! Penelope seems so genuine in her praise, and I'm sure it does mean a lot to Maggie as I imagine they both respect each other and their craft greatly.

Phyllis Logan, she's brilliant. Every time I see an interview of her in real life, I'm amazed by how she doesn't resemble "Mrs. Hughes" at all. It's not the hair and make-up -- it's her ability as an actor which turns her into Mrs. Hughes. All the actors are great. I am such a fan, such quality acting, cannot think of another television program which comes close.

Nothing like British Period Dramas. We lived in the UK during the 70's and I remember watching Upstairs Downstairs with my parents, that's when I got hooked.

Maggie and Penelope are such sweethearts! :) As is everyone else in this show. This has quickly become perhaps my most favourite series of all time :)

I have watched the series 6 times. So many tears have been shed, so many times I’ve laughed. I wish there were more episodes. Brilliant show.

I'm addicted to Downton. Where I live it comes on at 9 p.m. every Sunday night and I'll break my neck falling over chairs just to get to it on time.

I've come to Downton late, and slowly worked my way through 6 Series and fell in love with the complex characters, the acting, the whole thing. What I love about this is all the actors seem so genuinely humble and collaborative and understanding of their role in such a brilliant piece. Great to watch this. :)

i love how Thomas and O'brien seem to get on as well as and be as mischievous as they are on camera as well as of it :)

I do wish Dr. Clarkson had a romance. He really cared for Isobel, but it was not to be. He also took a lot of flack from Robert and Violet. Good ole Dr. Clarkson.

I admit I cried several times during the whole story. These are such top notch actors.!❣️
