To the incredible person seeing this, I wish you all the best in life❤ don't over blame yourself, accept things and go forward. Don't let others define what “success” is for you. Get up, learn the skills needed and get after it, all the keys to a happy life is in your hands. Keep pushing.
  • I burst into tears when Orpah mention how tough it is for single mom doing all by herself. living in Canada not having any family from my side and also kids father side, i am trying my best and be positive and listening to you guys makes little easier. I am big fan of Orpah since i was a teenager and J Shetty, i love listening to you since i had an awakening in 20016. Thank you.

Everytime Oprah speaks about her traumatic childhood experiences, the whipping, abuse, I feel so much empathy and understanding for her. Because I too was beaten and abused as a kid. And mind you, I was born in the 90s, in an Indian family. We Indians too have the tendency to beat and abuse (mental, emotional etc) their younger ones. And it still baffles me that my parents (and most Indians) still don't realise what they did. How badly they've traumatized their kids. When they themselves still can't get over their childhood trauma and still talk about it endlessly. But when I bring up my experiences, they run away. They can't handle the confrontation.

I was just talking to God abt helping me to STOP my negative thinking. It gets bad up there for no reason. Im looking forward to watching and learning. Thanks Jay!! Thanks Oprah
  • In Latin families whipping is also done, and the abuse is in all forms- physical, mental, emotional all of it. It continues until you leave the house. (Im Mexican btw.) I’ve seen my siblings runaway and have their entire life altered in order to escape. We don’t talk about it much as a whole. It is not normal behavior but we are taught that it is. ❌😪I’m still working out the traumas to this day… I hope all people can overcome the things that happened to them. 🙏🏼😢

I don’t know who needs to hear this but, You are perfect just the way you are! Don’t ever change for anything or anyone, you are able to be loved exactly the way you are right now! Keep being the best version of yourself and sharing your light/love with the world! I love you unconditionally! I’m sending you peace & love🤍!
  • It’s 0-5 years. I met Dr. Perry and he is a blessing to the study of pediatric:. Met him at a First Five Conference in California. We are going influenced in the womb. I will never forget the story he shared about the child who was failing to thrive until he took the child to a surrogate grandmother.

One thing that helped me for my thoughts is I tried for years to get myself out of my head and for awhile I realized during some reflection that I was clear. I was already having clarity in my mind and the thing that was pulling me back in was me feeling like I didn't deserve that clarity and so I would fall right back into my head and just keep going on this endless loop because I was used to believing that it wasn't good to feel better. If you feel like you don't deserve a clear mind because people around you aren't clear like you, don't fall into their victim trap. Stay clear. They will learn when they are ready. Or not. Who cares. You're clear and just be the example of clarity and freedom. You'll get used to the weight and actually begin to understand why people are the way they are and instead being fearful or fighting for them to change I changed my perspective on it and became more understanding which allows you to open up to people more and begin to make connections without making people feel like you are trying to make them fall into a lifestyle you live.

I am listening to this at the perfect time for me to hear. Oprah's story showing her fear of confrontation, even as she was so powerful, is powerful. I have been home the past couple of days because of anxiety. I am a single Mom with an autistic young adult at home, and I am struggling with money and making a change in career. I didn't understand my fear. This certainly helps. Thank you!!

I love my Auntie O! She is a LIGHT to my heart and a true Queen. One of a kind, friend and mentor to the masses for generations to come & I thank God for her. This is ever accurate.

Watching this was feels full circle. The one lesson I would sometimes forget in my healing journey is to be present in the moment. Just to take time and truly absorb all of the progress you have made
  • Isn't it incredible how many of us don't realise that little things that happened to us consistently as children, traumatised us just as much (if not more) than major traumas? Even if we were only observers. Every single one of us needs to invest in learning about child development, not because we have or plan to have children - no, because we were once children! Many of us need to understand ourselves in order to heal and to have a chance of breaking behavioural habits which destroy our present and our future. I love these videos, I hope many have the "ahaaa" moments.

This is one of the best interviews I saw, and I'm only 1/3 in. So much value in here. Healthy attachement is what the world needs right now

These open healing conversations are simply courageous ❤ great way to spend my lunch break!

Oprah continues to be a bright light after all these years! I really appreciate the work Dr. Perry has done on this topic and Oprah for bringing it light!

This is by far the best I’ve heard yet and I thrive on podcasts. Being that my two too needs are growth and contribution.. and being a life Coach (transformational / mindful/spiritual) I had amazing AHA moments as Oprah said so beautifully ❤️ Having had my own traumatic journey with many different experiences and understanding that my higher self and with the help of the Univers, I was blown away and felt I was with you through out this podcast. I will be forever grateful for adding this to my library and know that I had additional and deeper understanding. Bless you’s for sharing your true gift and purpose with us. Wow…. I’m in awwww 🙏 You guys rock!!

I just want to say, besides the fact that I love hearing you speak Jay and you interview top people like Oprah, that single parents, who have to be everything and do everything, don't just exist in the US. In "little" Belgium, for example, this is also expected Oprah! Just saying😉 I'm a single mom, who, because of all youre wisdom, true the years, it made it a bit easier 🙏❤ That's why i love you so much, wise foreign speakers. You are already a little further in open thinking and speaking! Thank you for that🙏🍀
  • 12 minutes into the video and I already have had revelations. I'm so grateful for this podcast. It came at the right time. More blessings Jay.
