This film contains footage from a local, Namibian tribe, images have been blurred, however, parental discretion is advised.

Namibia exposes the overland vehicle build weaknesses and stalls the team's progress, but the biggest problem is not mechanical. A new approach to Africa is critical but the team must decide to concede to the environment vs trying to control it.

The mechanical problems are teaching the team new things every day. The Tundra, Sequoia, and the Tacoma all have separate issues to address, but the show must go on. After all, the obstacle is the way and someone is about to celebrate a very important birthday.

With XO embarking on their longest, remote, section they have ever attempted, travel, logistics and fuel become everything and the smallest details must be calculated.

The joy in the kids face when they were doing the fist bump made me tear up 🤧
  • @Cleophis1975
Seeing the father son moments really warms my heart. I still miss Kurt though.

So happy to see Adrian with your group for this series. I’ve been watching him since he drove the Jimny
  • Thank you for joining us for episode 4! This was an amazing part of the trip for all of us.
  • Management of expectations but also aspirations. No point getting there if you missed everything on the way 👍🏻
  • Thank-you XO for helping swing the pendulum back to Love, Respect, Common Sense and Humanity! Well done!
  • An American mindset in Africa means one can miss out on the real African experience...
  • Next africa trip swop out those “trucks” with some 76 and 79 series Land Cruiser bakkies. Would go much smoother. And keep them as stock as possible😂
  • I am from India. I love your content. I see your content from the Alaska series. I don't know that I could go to these places once in my life or not. But, through your videos virtually I am travelling there. I learn many things through your videos, like leadership, bonding, how to be a true companion, how to be a good family member. These videos makes me dream that it may be one day I will travel many places like you..
  • i "liked" this episode before it starts playing, because if you know, you know
  • What a gift to experience the life experience of the local tribes and every day challenges. What beautiful people the children are a joy to see. What beautiful smiles and joyful lives they live. Those waterfalls are to beautiful to behold. You and your family are soooooo fortunate
  • I really enjoyed this one. Seeing the kids interacting with the Chief made chuckle!

Being South African, now living in New Zealand, and having travelled these areas as well as Western/Eastern and Northern Africa, I love watching your channel. TIA is and will always be in my blood. Well done team!

You need a good few months to travel Africa, hope you get to see it all one day..... Adrian is definitely a good asset to any overland crew, hold on to him as long as you can. We have a good few overland legends, keep them in mind for your next visit. Thanks for the share 😎🤙
  • The hardship of the demanding conditions is soon rewarded at camp! Another epic series! Thank you XO team and Roam Overlanding🤝🏼
  • @Maritimer
Great video as always, really cool to not only have your boys with you but one celebrating his 18th and a father having a ""first drink" with his son is something to remember. I'm enjoying your friends on this trip, just the way south africans (and Brits) talk, it seems so propper compared to us Canadians/Americans, the little "The breakfast Oreo" "I didn't know people did that..." "they don't" haha was great. The fact you stumbled into meeting a tribe and chief is unbelievable, that is such a rare thing to experience. Really looking forward to the next episode. Cheers !
  • XO always finds a way to portray the world as it should be seen, as this beautiful landscape, with so so many different cultures and heritages! The way you describe things is so very well done ! Great job Team XO!

As a South African watching this, I am fascinated, entertained and heart warmed as I watch you guys learn what "Africa time" really means and get to take in the vastness and beauty of our continent. Thanks for the content! 🥳
  • Roam is with you guys ❤.. I've been watching every episode he's made and it's a pleasure to see him with you guys.
