I have just discovered pastor Rick warren and watched around 10 sermons . I can’t put into words how great full I am for his gifting but I will say this his anointed style of preaching has pulled my mind out of a ditch that I’ve been stuck in for too long! 🙏🏼

"If you abide in me, I'll abide in you" The Holy Spirit once told me that abide means to linger in the presence of another.  So what God's really saying is this: "If you hang out with me, I'll hang out with you." Jesus just wants to be friends with you. What do friends do when they hang out together?  They TALK. Prayer was always meant to be a two way verbal conversation, not some lonely thought stuck in your head.  Another message from the Holy Spirit: "We don't want to be distant, shaking our heads and wagging our fingers.  We want to be close to our people, walking and talking with them directly." God often does things in 3s to reflect the Trinity.  1) If you abide in me, I'll abide in you 2) Pray without ceasing  3) Contemplate your word day and night  Three verses all saying the same thing: Trust - Believe - Talk

I intentionally overdosed once with 20x the normal dose of MDMA.  I prayed before taking the drugs, apologizing to God for not being strong enough and not being able to be a better servant for him. I lost control of my limbs and blacked out. I was laying down when I took the drugs but in my vision I was standing.  I was standing in a grassy field with gently rolling hills.  Directly in front of me was a sea or ocean, with the water stretching to the horizon. The sun was rising, about half way up on the horizon.  I was entirely surrounded by what I intuitively understood to be representations of people's souls.  They had a head but no hair or facial features, a torso but no limbs or clothes.  I felt the strength pouring out my body like a liquid from my elbows and my heels until I was too weak to stand and fell backwards.  They people around me caught me and lifted me up over their heads. I felt their hands on my back. I felt intense guilt because I thought I was successful in killing myself but they people around me had no criticism against me.  Their only concern was to comfort me and to let me know that everything was going to be okay.  ("Therefore there is no condemnation for those living in Christ Jesus.") They started passing me hand over hand towards the horizon.  As I moved from one person to another, I felt their hands clapping me all over my body, congratulating me for all my efforts to fight evil in the world.  Someone by my right ear said, "Don't worry, we're going to take you the rest of the way." That's when I woke up and a paramedic was standing in front of me. I spoke with an addict friend of mine afterwards and he said that much MDMA taken at once should have either killed me or left me brain dead but I had no side effects whatsoever.  God is good all the time.  All the time  God is good.

I just want to thank you Pastor, for this specific sermon. It spoke right to me and it was exactly what I was needing to hear. I feel like God led me to listen to your video today. I just wanted to let you know that it does mean a lot to me and you did get the point across to someone (me). I gave my life to Christ 5 months ago and I have been afraid to read my Bible at work and listen to christian music always scared what people would think, say or do. I also worried about if they even believed in God, what If they were an atheist and didn't want to hear godly music, etc. The devil put thoughts in my head and It would cause me to not pursue what I was feeling God wanted me to do when it came to being open about my faith especially at work. But now I have a different point of view and I will try to be more like Daniel. With God's help I believe I can get through this. Even though I will still have fear I won't let the enemy win and I will go against the fear and it will eventually subside like you said in the sermon. I feel like I can do Gods will and be more confident and bold. So thanks again. Keep on preaching!!
