I love that your husband's heart melted when your parrot said "Papa" the first time.
  • He stopped feather picking, a sure sign of healing. May you all live long and prosper.

Her name is Nadia, and the meaning of her name in Russian is Hope. This is cute because it may be said that she gave her parrot the hope for a better happy life <3

He looks so much healthier since you adopted him. What a beautiful bird. Thanks for rescuing him.

That is so sweet. It always saddens me to learn people abandoning their pets. The fact that you already have committed to this bird for years to come is very comforting. Thanks.
  • Dear God, this reminds me of my 25 year old pal, Tula, a Scarlet Macaw. He was my pal, after only a few weeks, he climbed out of the large cage and spent time walking on my arm in Albany, Oregon. He was my pal. He drank from water fountains or with orange juice, walked through the local park, and he learned to talk...once he said, "Tula, come home" to himself after he walked into the house off the tree, cackling and laughing the whole time. He was only flying once, but still had full flight feathers. I sure miss him,my beautiful pal.

Such a sweet and heartwarming story. Looks like he picked not only mommy but daddy, too, lol. Wishing you a wonderful life with Vandal.❤️

"They choose you", this is 100% true. I used to have a parrot, I was his owner for years, untill a neighbor's granddaughter wanted to pet him. My parrot just fell in love, climbed on her shoulder and got upset when she left. I was sad to let it go after so many years, but I knew they were soulmates.

He is absolutely precious & I don't think that he could have found a more loving forever home

You've done yourself a service. As a multiple pet rescuer, I've learned that we are generally the rescued, vs the other way around. 6 trips to the sanctuary = a lifetime of dividends. Peace
  • 3:02 Sometimes it's astonishing isn't it? When my grandpa died and I was just so lost and crying, I took a walk and came by some horses. One just locked her eyes on me, ran to the fence and pressed her head into my belly. She let me pet her and cry and that felt so comforting...thank you sweet horse ❤
  • To this day nothing made me laugh more as a child than going to my friends house and hearing his parrot re-enact an argument his parents had the night before. Complete with 100% accuracy in regards to an impression of the person speaking and all the swear words used. Amazing creatures that can embarrass you in a heartbeat 😂

A human/bird marriage made in heaven. You brought this beauty back from ruin with unlimited, unconditional, love. The two of you bring out the best in each other.

This brought a tear to my eye! What a wonderful story. Thank you so much for rescuing him! xoxo

There's nothing stronger than the bond between good people and animals.

I love that she is literally letting her kids know he’s part of the family, for as long as there are members of the family!! Awesome that they’re being raised with him!
  • @Here4TheHeckOfIt
My god - obviously, his previous home was toxic. He seems so happy now! Thank you for giving him a loving home

What a beautiful bird. I'm glad you were able to rescue him. Our parrots are like our children as well. I couldn't imagine not having them around.
