Utah is a stunning state with five national parks that all have their own natural wonders. My dad and I spent a week visiting all of the Mighty 5 national parks (Zion, Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef, Canyonlands & Arches) and exploring more of the state including Valley of the Gods, Monument Valley, Dead Horse Point and even going into Arizona for Horseshoe Bend. This video show the entire road trip we went on and let me know what you think in the comments.

Just got back from Monument Valley last week! It was a hard trip on me as I am 81 years old, and my wife is 77. We flew out of Dallas to Alburquerque and arrived there about 11:30. We had a rent car waiting on us, so we hit the highways and roads toward The View Hotel at the valley. We arrived after dark so we couldn't see anything but the two-lane blacktop before us. Some tough roads getting there with drop offs and soft shoulders, so we recommend arriving in the daytime. We checked into our room and quickly fell asleep. The sun was already up when we awoke the next morning. And as I opened the curtains to the balcony, we were suddenly awe-struck as if we had been transported to another unearthly world. My God I cried! My wife ran to me, and we just stared for minutes at the spectacle before us. The sheer beauty and stillness of the desert valley before us with monuments so close, we could nearly touch them, we felt the nearness of our Maker. We have travelled a good bit in our lives together and have seen some fantastic sights, but never a sight such as this! I don't have the vocabulary to paint the incredible aesthetic beauty of Monument Valley.

You had made probably one of the BEST videos in YOUTUBE. Is long but is well narrated, good on details and entertaining. I am doing research to do the same trip but with an RV/Camper. I lack the words to fully express how well made was this video. You did an amazing job. Your relationship with your father is to be envy, love it. Is good enough for TV.
  • Your dad is a good man. Cheers to him for facing his fears to experience these things with his son. This country needs more men like him.
  • As an older mom of three adult sons I love, love, love that you took your Pops with you on this trip! My husband and I have done a lot of adventuring with our boys, both when they were young, and now with their wives and children. It is a tremendous blessing to be able to experience such beauty with family! Keep taking him along. I know his heart is full from his time with you!
  • I am 48 and have lived in Salt Lake City most of my life. I’ve been to these locations, but never with a 4K camera documenting it all. Thank you for such an enjoyable video, and we especially appreciate your upbeat cheerfulness.

  • A trip "to die for", just gorgeous 😍❤. Utah is my fav US state. I am German, visited Bryce Canyon and Zion Nat. Park in 1977. It was one of my lifetime memories. In 1986, my former husband and I explored Monument Valley, and a dream came true since I am a John Wayne Western fan and saw this iconic place. Goulding's Lodge was the place to be, nearly no cars in the Park and unlimited driving, what was the best 😀. This times are gone forever, very sad! Arches and Natural Bridges are still on my bucket list, but now everything is easier bc. I am calling the US my home for over 20 years. I came from Europe for the beauty of the Southwest and decided to stay in this part of the country. It was worth the journey! Thank you again, for this amazing road excursion ❤💖💕.

Highway 12 is so underrated. An amazing drive from Escalante to Torrey.

Thank you and your Father for sharing this with all of us. After six spinal and double hip replacement surgeries. I'm trying to get healthy enough to take my son on a trip like yours. Your Father is a inspiration to me. Again thank you.

Thank you for spending the gas money to take this trip for us all Josh, really appreciate your work, Being able to sit for an hour or so and take a virtual trip I could never afford right now is a real treat!

One of the best Mighty 5 videos I’ve seen so far, kudos! A+++ to Pops as well!

2 hour video went by like nothing , beautiful job .Made me realize how much I miss my Dad and all the places we visited together .
  • Oldtimer Englishman from Shropshire who has been travelling the Four Corners areas for over 30years. The first time I visited Monument Valley, and since, I camped in the original campsite that overlooked the Mittens long before that hotel was built ! Commercialism is much more prevalent since my earlier trips and is taking all the real character away from so many other areas and towns that I used to cherish !

Having your Dad on these adventures is such a blessing for you and us. Nice!

I was born and raised in Utah. and after many years of living and working out of state, I have moved back. I'm embarrassed to confess that I have never been to the Utah National Parks. This Summer, I will make it happen! This was fabulous! Thank you.
  • @farooqverse
Love the purity, humbleness, and kindness you people show, more success!!
  • Possibly my all-time favorite western video. Tell your dad I know how he felt at Monument Valley because I watch nothing but western TV shows and films. I would have probably slept on that balcony where he sat for hours. It brings tears to my eyes and I can't wait to see it. At 74, it is on my bucket list. I would love to do the Navajo tour that lasts half a day.
