Who is Félicien Kabuga? Rwandan genocide kingpin arrested in France

Published 2020-05-28
How could he be hiding in plain sight in a quiet Paris suburb? After 26 years on the run, the past has finally caught up with Félicien Kabuga, the alleged supplier of machetes for the Rwandan genocide and the founder of its Radio Mille Collines propaganda arm. François Picard's panel asks where international justice will best be served and whether Kabuga's capture could net more ringleaders in a grim chapter of history that to this day still poisons relations between France and Rwanda.

  • But that further proves the involvement of France in the Rwanda Genocide even though many may deny it, provided the military equipments to the rebels
  • @kiuwamhina2802
France betrayed him, but they did know he was in the country long time ago, he must be put to jail
  • Why don't they handle him over to the Rwanda authorities so that he can reap what he sawed?
  • @nemaalden6672
I dont understand why these criminals always have to have a "Fair" trial,,, they weren't being "Fair" when killing all those people!! He needs to be taken to Rwanda,, thats where he commited his crimes!!
  • @atejani6994
I am glad he was finally caught but its to bad he lived as a free man all of these years when he should of been rotting in jail. I hope the victims of the terrible genocide see justice before he dies.

I just can't understand why all these perpetrators can't take trials in the countries where they didn't it , is it that Rawanda doesn't have competent lawyers France didn't do anything during the genocide so why would they interfere now
  • That killing of innocent people must be closely monitored and bring the idiots to book no mercy.mercy does not go with wrong doers
