US-Banglad Air really took the word Airbus literally. 😁

I love it when the german comes out. "I think i'm the only foreigner on the plane, NE?"

As an ex Emirates Cabin Crew I used to work on this route and it was my pleasure to serve the passengers that very rarely got to fly home and give so much.
  • I used to live and work in the UAE, and I remember seeing all the guest workers lined up for their one holiday trip home to Bangladesh, India, Nepal, etc., and they were loaded down with treats and goodies to take home to their families.
  • Hey Josh, Welcome to Bangladesh again. Just saw the video. I know the experience you had was not that great. But for your information, these 400+ people are the life of Bangladesh. People like them are working day to night with their sweat and blood. There remittances are the main source of foreign income of Bangladesh. They owe a lot. Unlimited love and respect for them❤️❤️❤️

USBangla is actually a company of USBangla group. Actually the group suppose to be a combination of investors from Bangladesh and Non residential Bangladeshi living in USA. So the group named USBangla.
  • Is this even legal to squeeze this many people on a small Airbus A330? Nuts! Definitely a flight Sam Chui wouldn't dare to take haha...

Those are not tourists they are hard working people who use the plane as a vehicle to get to their family and not for pleasure and gourmet food. The airline is offering a cheap service and it’s perfect for the kind of passengers they are dealing with .

I've worked as a flight attendant on the A330. Believe it or not, it is safely built for 450 passengers. Airbus originally designed and tested all aircrafts to figure out the maximum capacity. And anyone who exceeds the maximum will be prosecuted. The A330 I worked on sat over 312 and was fitted with 48 first class beds as well as four rows of premium economy. US-Banga is not the only airline pushing capacity to the max. There are several Asian carriers doing the same. Although doing so will cause weight restrictions, I promise you have nothing to be concerned about. A lot of people don't know this, but the smaller Airbus A320 is designed to hold up to 200 passengers, but most airlines don't want to deal with weight restrictions. So, they usually cap at 150 and add a business class cabin.

For your entertainment, I'd put my 1998 Yak-40 flight from Bishkek to Tashkent up against anyone's (no crash) flight. The 'bus' from the terminal to the aircraft was an open top baggage carrier pulled by a farm tractor. Luckily, I was on the first of two groups. After the tractor groups were seated, we could hear a noisy and rowdy argument going on the tarmac at the aft stairway. Eleven, yes, eleven more pax boarded the Yak-40!!! All, with their luggage, ended up STANDING - from the rear cargo net & lav area right up to the jump seat! The FA stood bcz an armed security guy occupied the jump seat. The cockpit had the PIC & FO PLUS another armed guard crammed in there! The floor bolts for my seat were loose, and the interior cabin padding sections on at least six rows were held together with duct tape. The meal of juice, a cheese & crackers packet, and a chocolate square came in a knotted plastic bag with a tiny wet wipe. The rollout, over Soviet-era concrete slab runway at screaming throttle took every available meter of that airstrip. We must've cleared the group of small sheds after the overrun by mere meters because I could clearly see, and I'm not joking, several scattering goats and ducks right outside my dirty window. To clear the mountain range towards Tashkent, it took four or five switchbacks to climb to the necessary altitude - and still, snow-covered mountains were on both sides of the aircraft for most of the flight. The descent was basically a straight in dive and approach to the runway. Braking was so intense that we were met on the taxiway by a tanker truck that sprayed down the gear, causing steam to totally obscure the terminal for a couple of minutes. We deplaned on the taxiway and walked to the terminal. TOP THAT, ANYONE ?
  • Bangladesh is the most congested country in the world. Its hell. This airline perfectly defines Bangladesh.

This must be an absolute nightmare for a cabin crew member. Imagine 440+ people ringing the call bell constantly & asking for things; you have to feel for the crew!
  • @FazleyRabbibd
FYI these people are the backbone of Bangladesh economy. We respect them from our heart and soul ❤
  • @ZebraAfrica
Wow, 9 seats abreast, I thought it was an A350. Never knew there existed an A330 / A340 type fuselage that is more than 8 seats abreast.
  • @nicksee1970
the bangladeshis are hard working folks trying to make a good honest living overseas to provide for their families at home. kudos to them

JAL used to operate a 747 between Osaka and Tokyo — single-class with over 600 seats. I flew this in the 1980s. It was a full flight. I’m a 6’ American and couldn’t believe how little legroom there was. And, almost every adult was smoking.

As a former QR crew, I was blessed with Dhaka many times. Crew used to report sick or try to swap as it's the worst flight one could imagine besides Istanbul. Lavatory was always a nightmare with floor, sink and comode all full of water, poop on floor, in and outside the lavatory, topped up with people getting so excited during landing that everyone suddenly jumps out of their seats peeking through the window and ofcourse you are totally helpless at this sight. I quite literally believe that Bangladeshis love lavatory more than their seats and I can confirm to what you said that everyone uses lavatory atleast twice or thrice and their bladder is still full after landing. Food and drinks were always short and although most are Muslims but they LOVE drinking. Apparently everything other's do is haram except for when they do it themselves. Anyways, it's fun experiencing the world with QR and now through you. So Thank you 🙏
