With much boldness did Fern Fitgerald play the part of Marilee Stone. You can almost hear her purring like an alley cat as she meets Jack Ewing (Dack Rambo) for the first time and whisks him onto the dance floor. Big hair, big shoulder pads, big jewelry, big performances...and big ratings. How I miss the 1980's and how I miss my Friday nights with the Ewing family, the Barnes clan and all the characters who brought Dallas to life. With such gratitude for each clip you share @DALLAS70. 😀

It wasn't the same when Miss Ellie, Barbara Bel Geddes was replaced and when Jock, Jim Davis passed..I hung in there and watched it faithfully until it ended.. Loved J.R. and the original crew..

I had heard the original plan for the cliff hanger on season 8 was Cliff and Jamie were going to win the trial and control Ewing Oil but when Patrick Duffy decided to leave the show they thought it would be too much for JR and the family to lose both Bobby and Ewing Oil so the storyline was rewritten.
