Amen -- my prayer this morning led me here. I was having trouble understanding what God wants me to do while we wait for Jesus. I was confused that we should focus on as "works" don't get us into heaven. Instead it's a focus on stewardship not vanity. Inaction is a sign of ignorance and carelessness. As an entrepreneur this made a lot of sense to me.

The Don. Very grateful of his work for the church, in exposition and application. He has helped me consider much about His Word and how to live in Christ.

This is one of the best messages I've ever heard on the parable of the talents. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and love for the Kingdom of God. The kindness and goodness of God leads us to repentance. To think that the Master of the household will share his eternal joy with us is almost too good to be true. But that's the nature of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. God bless all our you who make these sermons available for the public.

Thank you. I am enlightened by The Lord Jesus Christ through you.
  • The rest of the word is great The word of God has no boundries. We are all one. No mater what. We are the hand made of God. He sees us as His children. I pray we will all make it. Thank you man of God.

I’ve been praying for direction in a decision I’ve got to make, and He placed this parable on my heart. Thank you for sharing. As your final point - I don’t know the specific direction yet, but I know that I need to keep building His assets. The Great Commission is on my heart. I also wonder if the symbolism of the third slave also is in context of Jesus’ mission to the Jews - specifically how he challenged the Pharisees and Sadducees.

    3. Wait for Jesus as those who knows Jesus coming may be long delayed 25:1-13
  • @1966bluemax
    2. Wait for Jesus as stewards who must give account of their service faithful or otherwise 24:45-51

Where is scripture are we expected to evangelise as individuals as opposed to as a body?
  • it is the Lord who gives His talents, to each of His stewards, the Lord does not give His abilities to unsaved people to serve his people, His house, so the context is eternal rewards for faithfulness, or eternal retribution for unfaithfulness , this means that it is faithfulness that determines our destinies , so they are given Talents because they are His servants by faith ,but their destinies are determined by their faithfulness, their works
