I love how jaiden just walks through a door to bypass the glass, master balls shadow Lugia and then reminds the old man who ruined her life that losing a shadow Lugia was a huge L and it now belongs to her. Aww, jaiden your humour is boundless.

The fact that the bad guys after loosing just decided to go home, like all this evil stuff was just a weird family bonding activity for them, made me laugh so hard.

4:38 So, apparently it’s pretty common for little kids in Japan to refer to themselves in third-person. So in Japanese it’s actually kind of cute and endearing, but when you directly translate that part into English it comes off as awkward and random. Seems like something the localization team should’ve taken into consideration.

My mom didn’t like Pokémon and never got me any of the games, but I managed to get a hold of Pokémon XD because my dad didn’t realize he bought the GameCube that came bundled with the game for us for Christmas (he also didn’t care that much). So while this was a niche Pokémon game for many, this was actually my first Pokémon game so it holds a special place of nostalgia for me.

I like to imagine that the people giving you directions are actually just pointing in random spots on the map to make you go away, they just coincidentally end up being correct every time.

We need a continuation of XD and Colosseum. Wes really started the whole game out by BLOWING UP A HIDEOUT. (The fact that the holes are still there...!) Honestly the shadow pokemon saga was probably my favorite pokemon games period! It at least gets kudos for putting just a TINY bit more effort into asking itself "what could go wrong?" You mean, like villains using Sleep Powder for crime? Or Psychic to steal entire cruise liners? Creating an entire underground town? Generally use pokemon for evil? And then you just have some practicality....like Wes blowing up a hideout to A) get the snag machine and B) Lure the cops out there so Snagem will be too busy avoiding them to chase him down. Wes believes in the power of C4 lol

For those wondering why Jovy speaks in the third person, it's a Japanese thing. Referring to yourself in the third person is considered cute and/or childish way of referring to yourself. It happens with other games as well, such as Hyperdimension Neptunia.

When I was a kid I found Jovie annoying, but now that I'm an adult I think it's cute how much she loves her big brother. And how she wants to protect him at all costs (even if she doesn't know she lacks the ability to do so).

I find it amusing how its been 5 years and team snaggem hasnt fixed a single thing from Wes terrorisming them. They evenchave the empty snag machine mannequin sitting in the same spot.
