Test results are hard to understand on Sibo breath tests. Thanks for breaking it down and it was fascinating to see the variety of results from patients.

Hallo Amanda, thanks a lot for your video. It’s very helpful. I have a question about my sibo test results. My Hydrogen leven where until 60 minutes. At 60 they where 11, at 70 min 20 and at 80 minutes 31 and at 100 48. So the score went high close to the 90 minutes. Would you say it’s or it’s not sibo ? Greetings Marina
  • Dear Amanda, i just Sibo hydrogen test with lactose the results the following at 60 min 25 ppm then 80 min 33 ppm 100 min 36 ppm. My gastroenterologist said dont worry to much he think its negative as by 60 min the solution not in my small intense anymore and dont need any antibiotics treatment. What do you think about it? I dont know what to think anymore thank you

Hi. I have a gi doc and i am sent to a breath test clinic. It's 3.5 hours. Anyways...the interpreter put I was positive for sibo. So I was put on Rifaximin for months and months and I wasn't getting better. So I said something has to give. So I got a Naturpath involved and informed me that I have IMO as well! So I brought this to my gi doc attention and they agreed and added in neomyacin. So of that weren't stressful enough. Fasforward about 5 months (NEW doc now) and I go and get a test and same thing happens. The test is interpreted wrong. I have both but put as sibo. I talked to someone at the office tonight ànd she was helpful and said to call tomorrow and talk to someone. I'm stressed bc the remark didn't include imo. Imo is the one I have the most proɓ. But IA there any way I can upload my result here so u can s3e what I am seeing and if it is imo? I'm desperate for some confidence. Please help! :(

Dear Amanda. My lactose SIBO test showed 0 methane levels from baseline (0 minutes) to 135 minutes. However, my hydrogen levels were as followed. Please could you give your opinion? I followed the white food diet 100% (only white bread & eggs) 24 hours before the test, fasted for 13 hours before test, did not brush teeth or drink water while fasting: 0 mins: 17 15 mins: 19 30 mins: 21 45 mins: 18 60 mins: 15 75 mins: 19 90 mins: 35 105 mins: 55 120 mins: 70 135 mins: 81

I feel miffed because the clinic I got my SIBO test done was hydrogen only. My hydrogen was around 12ppm at the 60 minute mark, and over 20ppm at the 120 min mark. So probably fairly normal. I bet anything I’d be positive for high methane because I have textbook SIBO symptoms. I’ll probably do an at home test next time
  • So my test 2hr mark I showed methane about 4 I didn’t think I had Sibo and my doctor didn’t say I had Sibo, I was listening to a Q&A from Allison Siebecker , she said this would be considered Emo, and need to treat for methane
