Yoga Nidra for Living Softly

Yoga Nidra is a unique state of consciousness within a guided meditation—its a deep state of sleep with trace calm and alert awareness. It is a combination of body, breath and awareness techniques which are designed for people practicing to drop down out of the thinking mind and into the body through the rotation of consciousness and other techniques. The goal during the practice is to get to this effortless presence of being.

I created this Yoga Nidra for living softly as its a concept in my life that I really try to embody.
To slow down
To take my time with decisions
To be more curious
To listen more
To live with more ease
To have more patience
To check in more with myself

I hope this Nidra resonates with you and perhaps plants a seed for you to live softly.

If you are practicing Nidra (Non-Sleep Deep Rest) for the first time or are relatively new to this practice— here are a few tips for you:

✨Listen to the practice and lie down somewhere you can build a ‘Nidra Nest’ a ‘Nidra Nest’ is any combination of pillows and blankets that gives you optimal comfort —perhaps pillows placed under your knees to take pressure off your lower back. A Pillow under each of your arms can be really nice as well.
*if you are at your work perhaps being able to practice on the floor or on a yoga mat! Even relaxing in a chair with your feet up is a good option or sitting against a wall. OR sitting in your car!

✨ Use headphones to really tune into the Nidra and block out noise from your house, office etc. An eye pillow, or scarf over your eyes can be really nice to block out any light.

✨ Do not worry if you fall asleep! Most of us are in sleep deficits and it is not a bad thing at all if you feel relaxed enough to fall asleep —perhaps just set a timer on your phone if you are at work and need to be alert at a certain time ! 🤓

  • Thank You ~ wish your vocal audio was available for both ears. (left side only) Your voice quality and yoga nidra guidance is very good, and soothing. The distraction for me is I am focusing on my left side too much due to audio. I will try further but feel both ears are better experience. Just an observation. I will check to see if other practices are available through you here. ~Jai Bhagwan~
