"GUARANTEED Pass Your Road Test "First Time"

These driving tips will help you to centre your vehicle in the lane while driving straight, turning right, or turning left. By looking farther down the road and keeping your eyes moving the vehicle will centre in the traffic lane.

When turning, you may have to slow. If the turn is sharp you will have to slow to keep the vehicle in the lane. The slower you go with any vehicle, the sharper the vehicle turns.

On left hand turns at complex intersections pick out your landmarks before you begin to turn. With landmarks to guide you, you can simply look farther down the road and proceed to drive the vehicle through the turn.

For a quick reference to check if your vehicle is centred in the lane, look to see if the "fog line" is positioned on the front right corner of the vehicle. Use that reference point every now and again to check the vehicle's positioning in the lane.

Good luck on your road test!

One thing that a teacher told me to help stay centered is to keep your right leg aligned with the center of the lane as it is almost the middle of the car. It really helped me.

I just drove today and my dad said I was too close to the curb. Thank you for this tip! I would always just look down the hood and never look far enough to see future hazards. The next time I drive I will definitely look further and have landmarks when turning.
  • @muganziaiden
This is a confidence boost. I love the practicality of your tip. Aim as high as possible with your vision. Great. Hopefully I'll pass my test in Qatar. Thanks
  • @bryanxu586
Thanks for the tip. I started driving again lately and drifting in between lanes is one of my biggest shortcomings. I'll try to look farther down the road the next time I get behind the wheel and go on the highway.
  • Hi Rick! I recently moved from NYC to Phoenix and I am finally learning to drive. I have been watching your videos for 2 weeks now and they really help with the fine details that maybe a friend wouldn't think to show you. Your tips have been awesome, and so helpful. I will report back with the results of my road test on Friday! Thanks again.
  • Thank you, my biggest issues when driving is staying in my lane and turning to far out. I always look just straight down in front of the hood. I will definitely try this next time I drive😌

I am a new driver and just started learning how to drive. I have a problem too with staying in my lane as I tend to drift a little bit into the other lane. Will definitely use your tips when I go for my driving lesson tomorrow.

I am going to use this tip. I am just starting to learn how to drive and I suck at keeping the vehicle in the centre. I'm always either too close to one side.
  • Staying in the center of my lane is one my challenges with driving a big truck. I find it's like driving a tank. I'm gong to take your advice and look farther ahead. Your videos are the best thing on the internet. Thanks so much for making them available.

Thanks for your videos. I've been watching to help with my driving anxiety- sometimes just thinking about driving sends me into a panic attack. These videos are helping me become more comfortable with concepts. I'm in Ontario and my G1 expires this Summer. I'm thinking of using the time to get comfortable with driving.
