One of the many reason I love BCM, “We are not a sporting arms company. We engineer and build life saving equipment and tools.”

"you cant shoot what you cant see" That's not true. I tested this, the bullet still entered my abdomen even with the lights off.

once you have the rifle in a shootable configuration, the ammo and spare mags are a sustainment cost more than a "build" cost

I really like your view of the 2nd amendment. The more I've learned about firearms (and other arms), our nation's history, and gun control advocates the more I've realized just how far off my views about the 2nd amendment were...and I'm still learning.

Indoors with cool lighting and a cool looking room, he looked like the cool gun guy. Outdoors he looked like McLovin
  • "Your not gonna go in with a duct tape, chest rig, One mag and a handful of ammo." Tarkov scavs : :0

I went to high school with a local firearms instructor / gun range employee. He told me that they rent the M&P-15’s. Per him, they have put thousands and thousands of rounds through them and have had zero issues. He says it’s a no frills workhorse of a gun.

You mention "I have no idea if this gun is all of a sudden gonna explode on me." I say that is quality build AND absolutely reliable. Iraqveteran8888 did a M&P 15 Sport ll fully automatic meltdown and lasted about a thousand rounds. That rifle will handle anything a weekend warrior will throw at it, especially in semi-auto which it's designed for. Great video by the way.

I'm a firm believer in "A good swordsman is more important than a good sword." philosophy. Glad to see videos like this.
  • “Unless your willing to run a chest rig made out of duct tape a single magazine and a handful of bullets” Mans calling out my tarkov load out

I never factor ammo costs into my builds... heck if that were the case the little Ruger LCP on my hip is a multi-thousand dollar gun because I have put a lot of rounds through that thing over the years.

I bought an m&p15 because it's what I could afford, and I put lots of ammo through it, about 600 rounds so far if I had to estimate (I've had it for 2 months) and it does great definitely worth buying if you're on a budget and I did pretty much everything mentioned in the video, got a light on it, got mags and a chest rig, and obviously ammo

By pointing out that SPORT is a neutered term you just became my favorite YouRube personality. Keep up the good work.
  • "This is a weapon of war, we have been neutering ourselves" I've had this take forever. That is making the argument that 2A isn't for making war, which it is. Thank you for the spicy take.

Ammo and kit are part of a rifle load out, but not part of the rifle build. You can use the same armor/etc with multiple rifles.

Call me poor, but i love the M&P 15. It was my first Ar, and in about 2 years ive put close to 2000 rounds through it with just a few malfunctions at the very beginning because i didnt lube the gun before shooting for the first time. After that its been absolutely perfect. Im probably going to buy another in a few weeks. Oh and of those 2000 rounds 1500 have been steel case
  • @owens.449
I mean, I built my rifle for $1000 but I wasn't expecting him to include a full kit to go with it in that budget lol
  • @julzsep90
This has to be the best "non review " realistic understanding of owning MY RIFLE ... Thank you

20:22 The reloads are so smooth. He's obviously earned the "Sleight of Hand" perk (through countless hours of training and getting that muscle memory down).

Built my first AR recently for about $500, then splurged and bought a red dot magnifier combo from sig for another 250. A few boxes of ammo later and I'm sitting pretty with a fun little gun for well under $1000.
