  • Hey James, I've only just found your channel today and this is fantasticcc content! Like subscribed notifications ticked! Just starting my journey in the solar industry in the UK, I'm day 3 in and 4 pitches done. I have a background in direct sales in shopping malls for commission only basis so that experience is really helping with the sales side although before it was more an impulse sale. Definitely taken your previous video on board regarding being less salesy but an educator in the field. What I'm struggling with so far is the product I'm selling is around a 15 year ROI to break even as it is the top end of the market, as we pitch a 30 year investment. When pitching 70+ year olds who want returns within 10 years that's an issue. Today I qualified harder to make them more aware before pitching as this was already a strong objection at the start, before the pitch. So im putting it down to qualifying? I do try and let them see the value it will add to the property past there time living there and how that investment still is a better return compared to in the bank for future inheritance. But generally it's the savings in 10years is a sticking point. My second struggle is the objection I had this evening I need to think about it. With my pitch prior to close, they agree we're the company for the job, we have the best products on the market compared to competitors, and even this occasion the price was good!! I'm never one to walk away without "battling" to find the real objection in a caring way. The customer claimed he wanted to check the stats I'm stating of the products were true (trust issue) any thoughts there? Unfortunately I can't use the strategies in this video as our process is: as soon as contract is signed you have to lay a deposit and book it in immediately, as I personally do the survey as well as the quote. Sorry for the essay 😬 Because I sell at the high end of the market I'm just selling the solar (no battery, with claims cutting electric by up to 70%) as I don't want to blow the minds of customers by the initial outlay. I assume your strategy is to sell with a battery to get near to 100% reduction? This on an average size house may push me closer to £14/£15,000! (I lost a deal yesterday because a lady had a quote for £5000 solar only) tough gig! I work for the biggest solar company In the UK and colleges are killing it, I just want to be killing it too! Would love to book a free call with you at a later date, I just want a little more time to gain experience and note down the right questions to get the best value possible from it. I'm so hungry to learn this and any extra content I can get from you... I'm always on board! I really hope this channel explodes for you it is sooo useful!     Dude big red flag you never ask a client what’s their to think about all they’ll do is double down A better approach I understand shI understand shows me that you’re taking this decision seriously and you want the best solution for your home just out of curiosity are you going to think about going solar oh you know you wanna go solar he’s just not sure which company to go with
