  • I relish your idea of cleaning being sacred and not just a chore. How we frame tasks in our mind makes a world of difference. Blessings! 😘

Caring for my home is a way to express my gratitude for having shelter and heat and all the things that I have, as well as love for my family. It sets the mood too in such a positive way.

I like that you don’t see it as a chore or something that needs to be rushed. It’s such a great feeling when your home environment is clean and appreciated. Thanks for the reminder Niamh 🌼

What I did as a ritual was cleaning my house on the 31st of December so that I started thanking for all that 2020 gave me and by cleaning everything with intention and purpose I made space to receive all that live has for me in 2021. I finished that day with taking a bath with camomile and lavender mixed with salt and I dressed myself all in white and clean clothes. It was magical that night and I started 2021 with peace of mind, present and full of gratitude.
  • Cleaning and making things orderly really reduces anxiety for me, along with physical exercise and getting outside in nature. This was lovely, as always!
  • I start my spring clean in January then as soon as spring is here I’m straight into the garden knowing that the house is more or less done....😊🇬🇧

Every three months I shuffle all my furniture around, and clean every spot that was hard to access, and then put my whole creativity into finding a new arrangement for the furniture. 🛋🔃 I don't have any heavy furniture, so it is really easy and fun, and it restarts the flow of fresh energy through my house. Especially if you ventilate well while doing so. ☯️🌬 I am in the middle of a cleaning session at this exact moment, too! 🥳
  • In my first year of marriage, I started a tradition that on New Year’s Eve I will do a deep cleaning of the house, that includes laundry, taking the trash out, dusting and so forth. so on New Year’s Day I start fresh. 25 years later and 3 Kids , they know the routine. I keep New Year’s Eve celebration simple so I don’t feel overwhelmed by the chore at hand. My family believe or not really enjoys this tradition. But I would have to share that doing a deep clean in one day it’s no too hard if you already keep a clean home. The key to a clean home is doing something every day and of course not a lot of stuff. ☺️ Clean home= peace.😃

My dad ,"my hero" passed away recently , soon after,,,,,,,,all that seemed to help with my greif ,,,,,was to clean, and clean ! I just had my "dad therapy" x
  • @marilynbunte5376
Yes, clean house and clean mind. When my home is organized I feel so much better.
  • @anaschulz8084
Thank you for the beautiful content! I have a tip I would like to share for the tops of tall furniture and appliances that collect so much dust. If the top can’t be seen, use a covering of cloth like a an old pillowcase or sheet cut to size (you won’t see it) put your decorative on top. When time to clean, shake off the cloth outside and pop it in washer.

I know a few people who have clean homes. There most uptight stressed out people I know.... And I know people who are more 😎 relaxed about cleaning. And they seem to be the happiest and most grounded people I know. 🙏🏻

"There's no competition, it's just what you're able to deal with, and it's always enough." Thank you so much for saying that. It's exactly what I needed to hear. I appreciate you sharing this wisdom with us.
  • @cstar6682
I love how watching you clean your cottage makes me feel like my home is now clean too.
  • @sweetseasons2510
When I have a project to do etc i always clean the house first 😂😂 I actually can not start anything until it’s clean x
  • @sidram8956
A quick tip. Wrap brown baking paper on the lids of random jars and rap twine around the necks of the jars. It’s very cheap and cheerful and the jars looks sooo beautiful and co ordinated💖
  • @InfiniteText
I could sit for hours and watch you do ANYTHING. I recently got your book and audiobook and I'm enjoying every moment
  • @Mark723
Such an excellent thought: "Cleaning"...as just creating more beauty." You have been my inspiration for finally getting around to post-holiday cleaning this morning - thank you.
  • @lisag.6599
I'm always so edified and encouraged when I see someone house-cleaning in a slower, deliberate and meditative way. Because I just can't seem to remember to take it slow. I have a hard time with that. xo
  • @LaVictoireRosee
This is one of the most beautiful videos ever. 💙 Thank you Niamh.
