This is so precious... the story, the ship collection, the "rebirth". The crab is such an interesting little fella. I really love this short film, great job.

The voiceover guy is clearly having the time of his life with that accent XD

I can’t believe I’m supporting the death and drowning of people for that crab..

As a model builder I can see how the lighthouse critter feels when his collection is wrecked by those who just don't care.

This reminds me of the tourists constantly running their boats aground on the reefs, trying to get pictures of the lighthouse which is there to warn boats away from the reefs.

My god, they simulated the underwater reflections and displacement of light in the bottle so realistically. Amazing work.

The real question is how the crab found a bottle that big

For those who didn't grasp the message, its about attachments. The more material positions you feel like you need to own ends up owning you. At the end he only cared about 1 thing and it was destroyed and it allowed him to let go of all his positions and finally be free. When he decides to do it all over again it represents the crab not learning from his mistakes and must learn from them once again.

This is actually amazing. The commentary on how humanity collapses because we destroy nature, the very thing we’ve built our civilizations on, is incredibly well done. And the hopeful tone at the end for the rebirth of nature after humanity is no longer bearing down on it is perfect. Also love the use of colors. Absolutely incredible.
