Charles Dance is such a fucking boss
-
"Attacking him was stupid." Tywin's no bullshit approach to everyone was amazing in this show. Damn that whole scene in the tent with Jamie is top class writing and acting.
-
I love how Tywin actually acknowledged Tyrion's wit and obviously so frustrated when talking to his other kids. He's probably thinking 'Why in seven hells THIS one is the smartest one...'
-
"Go on say something clever." "Can I have a hug dad?" -_- "get out."
-
Charles Dance should have won an Emmy for his performance in this show.
-
every time Tyrion leaves the table "not you!"
-
“Jugglers and singers require applause.” Such an epic line, Charles dance really was the perfect Tywin
-
Cersei finally gets a chance to have Tywin listen to her opinion and it’s “let’s get rid of our biggest ally in the war cause joffreys betrothed is manipulating him to not be a horrible human being”
-
"She's manipulating him" "Good. I wish you knew how to manipulate him"
-
I love when he tells Cersei " you are not as smart as you think you are." That sums up her character perfectly.
-
That first scene. No CGI. No grand battle. No colossal budget. Just two phenomenal actors in a tent backed by great writing. Outstanding.
-
I never noticed how Tywin saying "they have MY SON" is the only time he sounded concerned about his kids
-
You could not ask for finer actors to play these roles. These scenes are absolutely brilliant. I could watch the Lannisters just talk to each other all day.
-
if tyrion and tywin actually got along they would be a devastating duo
-
One of the many reasons I loved this show. The dialogue was so strong and the cast. Every conversation feels important even if it's not.
-
He gives Tyrion a cabinet position, Jaime an army, and Cersei a husband. What a loving father!
-
"Margaery has her claws in Joffrey. She know's how to manipulate him." "Good, I wish you knew how to manipulate him." Burn!
-
It still amazes me that Charles Dance was able to act so well while skinning a real deer. Points for dedication.

at 7:23. You can see the look of admiration on Tyrion's face when Tywin calls him his son. Like he finally noticed Tyrion for who he is for the first time.

House Lannister was cast so perfectly!
