Searching for fish and minnows in the backyard bass pond. The ice is on the pond and it's time to send a camera below the ice to look for pond fish. Trees create good structure for fish and we find some sunfish and minnows hiding in the shelter of the old Christmas Trees. The camera tracks down some sunfish, rock bass, golden shiners, minnows and bait. We try and find the elusive couple of smallmouth bass that reside in the backyard pond. The camera gives a good look at the water quality and water color that we struggled with in the fall as the pond aerator was put to the test to clear the algae colored green water. You get a good look at the bottom structure of the pond with the soft sand bottom and light weed and vegetation growth.
