We take the camera underwater at the backyard pond to see what's swimming around under the ponds surface. We find the sun fish are spawning on their gravel nest beds. The male builds a nest and tries to impress a female into coming onto the nest to mate and spawn. The smallmouth bass is seen hunting for minnows and looks to be growing well. Lots of baitfish and minnows are seen swimming and looking healthy throughout the backyard pond. Thanks to the improved water quality from the pond aerator we can finally send our cameras under the water to see what is going on under the waters surface. It's always great to see the fish and minnows interact in their natural habitat. With the healthy pond water it appears that we have healthy and happy fish and bait. We'll continue to improve the pond habitat and environment going forward, as we now look to add some largemouth and smallmouth bass as predator fish. Thanks for watching!

Good stuff, Ryan. Thanks for the "ride along", while doing your build!

Congrats on the successful year thus far. Your water quality is amazing. I’m looking forward to getting my water quality to look like yours once I’m up and running
  • A family member built a pond a while back and he placed two carp in to keep the algae down. They were a breed that wouldn't multiply or two males maybe. Or some grass algae eating fish. They got huge too.
