This video dives into all the complexities which make Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince stand out as a film title. Tune in for all the behind the scenes secrets you can imagine presented by Thethings. The Harry Potter movies are known for the acting involved in them which sets them apart from other films featuring young stars. The film specifically shines with performances by Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint. What you may not have known was all the behind the scenes drama and juicy details that came along with the young actor’s time on set. We take a look at both Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint’s romantic pairings within the film and see if these on set kiss scenes were as awkward as one might imagine them to be. Next up, we take a look at the copious amounts of special effects and practical effects which make the Half Blood Prince so visually appealing to the audience. From the use of green screen in many of the scenes to the creation of Aragog, the giant spider, the use of makeup and CGI really worked to set this film apart from the rest of the Harry Potter movies. Not only were the effects, both special and practical, used to make this film truly unique, but so were the choices and actions of the production team. From director to screenwriter, editor to makeup artist, it was truly the effort of all the people involved with this film which really make it unique.

Henry shouting “Ron” while he is kissing was a perfect best friend move 😂 so that there could be a re-take 😂🤣😂🤣😜
  • Am I the only person that noticed how tiny Aragog was compared to chamber of secrets?

All of that hard work deserves an Oscar reward or at least a nominee :(

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was unsurprisingly a smash hit when it came to theaters in 2009, but some of the stories from behind the scenes of the production are just as interesting as the tale being told on the big screen. For the sixth film in the Harry Potter film series, most of the actors and crew members had been around the set for a long time, but new challenges, on and off the set, kept them on their toes.

Hundreds of people cried when dumble door's death I sobbed
  • ‘The kiss scene in real life wasn’t as smooth as it seemed in the film’… ‘Harry and Ginny’s romance played a pivotal role in the film’… girl did we watch the same film? Or are you confusing it with the book? 🤔😂
  • lets appreciate how much effort these guys have made for us in these series really commendable.

I think it was a mistake, not putting more voldemort flashbacks. Shoulda listened others
  • I think including Voldemort scenes was actually cool like we needed more of his background.. also Jesse worrying about chipping a tooth 😂😂

I love Harry Potter but the way they introduced slytherins locket as a horcrux was just not great. I wish they would have explained more in the movie of how Dumbledore found the horcrux because of the movie it was unclear but if you've read the book it was and there are so many essential lessons that Harry had with Dumbledore in the sixth year that were left out. One of the biggest was understanding the root of why Lord Voldemort was soooooo power hungry. Honestly I was a little concerned Daniel Radcliffe is not as much of a smart-ass playing Harry as Harry actually is I mean Harry Potter is kind of arrogant but he has a heart of gold.

I finally watched all the movies and I can't get enough! I reviewed them and my main point is that draco should have handed harry the wand in the final battle!
