Daniel Defense DDM4 V1 First Impressions

Very nice purchase. I’ve bought from three different companies, Springfield Saint Victor, Aero Precision, and my first DD Gun is a M4A1, not the last but I also want a MK18 for home defense. Get more mags and ammo.

I know that some haters don't like the DDM4 but I love mine! When I first got it, it didn't like certain ammos but the more rounds I put thru it, the more it would eat nearly anything I could find! I haven't really beat the shit out of it like all of my home build ARs, but that's because I can't afford to do so. Guys like us don't get free guns in the mail, so we have to make them last and one DD rifle was kinda pricey for me. I will say this though for those who can't afford to buy a DD.. dont think that what you have is subpar because I have to be honest, I have built my own rifles from scratch that are just as tight, run just as good or better, and actually look far better than my DDM4! You can build your own AR for wayyyyyy less than what these companies charge now! You can buy something like the Thunder Ranch stuff from Aero Precision that AP got Clint Smith to design and you may spend $1000 total build cost and have one hell of a rifle too!

I have this as well, but my rail came loose w/o any drops. OK now with Red Loctite. Prefer RISII/III.

Hi Zach I’m thinking about getting the MK 18 have you had any issues or malfunctions with yours? do you have any other recommendations whether to go with 10.3 or 11.5 inch barrel? Thanks in advance for your feedback.
