  • @Mr.5hady
Sooo happy to see some of my favourites here! Grim Reaper, Witchfinder General and Tokyo Blade among others! 😍
  • To me, Tank's Filth Hounds of Hades album provides the rawest epitome of the nwobhm sound. Also the Saxon and Maiden stuff obviously. What I love about nwobhm is that it is perfect driving music (so is thrash). The amount of times I've blasted Tank's Shellshock or Saxon's Wheels of Steel while absolutely ripping my fox body Mustang onto the highway, they might as well be my personal theme songs at this point. Lol. Or on a summer night, high as fuck just cruisin around, stopped at a stoplight and that V8 is just steady gurgling and causing the whole car to shake a bit, and that nasty riff from Shellshock is blasting from the speakers..... Such fun times! 🤣 Good list!
  • Great to see Tokyo Blade getting some much-deserved love. I can't believe Savage was just an honorable mention, and that Tygers' Crazy Nights was mentioned at all. Great list, nonetheless.
  • I was 12 years old in 1980. I consider myself very fortunate when I started to listen to rock and metal back then, Maiden Tokyo Blade Saxon, Def Leppard and away from nwobhm AC/DC, Scorpions, Metallica BonJovi. The variety was tremendous, Ozzy as well, I could go on and on.That music will never die, rock will live on forever 🤘😈🎸
  • Very cool to hear these "forgotten" bands. Tokyo Blade was really great, it deserves more credit. While i like Iron maiden, i prefer the musical style in D'iano era, so my favourite will Always be killers 🤘
  • You guys all have a fantastic music taste! Satan, Saxon, Tokyo Blade, Grim Reaper are excelent live Bands, and together with Raven and Jaguar some of my favorite bands of all time!
  • one thing about it, you watch this channel and you're gonna learn new things and find bands you've never heard of. that's awesome.
  • VENOM! VENOM! VENOM! VENOM! VENOM....oh and Iron Maiden's pretty cool too...
  • Never Heard Raven and tygers of pang tang are SO underrated! Thank you for this video!
  • Great video as always! I would have added Saracen - Heroes Saints and Fools, Spartan Warrior - Spartan Warrior, Atomkraft - Future Warriors, Dark Star - Dark Star, and Elixir - Son of Odin. Keep up the good work!!!
  • I wasn’t alive at the time but I can only imagine listening to Venom for the first time…probably blew some fuckin minds.
  • This is a great list👍👍 Now lets have a 'Top 25 First Wave of European Traditional Metal' 1979-1986 Albums list! (Only mainland European bands)
  • Those are some great albums. I've been a huge Iron Maiden fan since 1982 and I am going to find those Tokyo Blade, Saxon,Venom and Angel Witch albums.
  • As the Top 10 was rolling down, I was feeling sad that "Court in the Act" wasn't going to make it. But, Surprise! Surprise!, it made it to #1. Adding the fact that Brian Ross is singing on #1 and #10, I would say that it's a good day for Satan. For me, Satan is consistently one of the best metal bands of the last ten years. Catch them live if you can. I was between 15 to 20 years old when these 25 albums came out. Your video helped me relive a large chunk of that time in less than 30 minutes. Thanks.
  • Great list! Some of my favorite albums of all time are on here!
  • Only now as an adult man do realize how important these album's were to metal. When I was a kid this was just what you kinda listened to. But it was alot more than that, these guys changed the face of music for decades to come. Do you ever ask yourself if they knew back then what they were on verge of?
  • No particular order except the top 5... 1. Angel Witch - Angel Witch 2. Iron Maiden - Killers 3. Savage - Loose n' Lethal 4. Holocaust - The Nightcomers 5. Saxon - Wheels Of Steel 6. Witchfinder General - Friends Of Hell 7. Quartz - Stand Up And Fight 8. Satan - Court In The Act. 9. Samson - Shock Tactics 10. Girlschool - Demolition 11. Grim Reaper - See You In Hell 12. Rock Goddess - Rock Goddess 13. Demon - Night Of The Demon 14. Avenger - Blood Sports 15. Battleaxe - Burn This Town 16. Tysondog - Beware Of The Dog 17. Tygers Of Pan Tang - Wildcat 18. Venom - Black Metal 19. Diamond Head - Lightning To The Nations 20. Gaskin - Edge Of The World 21. Fastway - Fastway 22. Tank - Filth Hounds Of Hades 23. Witchfynde - Give 'Em Hell 24. Chateaux - Chained And Desperate 25. Tokyo Blade - Tokyo Blade
  • Great stuff! I forgot how much I loved this era, especially the raw production. A lot of these albums celebrate their 40th anniversary this year! I would love it if you did a video of the same for NY/NJ, LA/SF and Europe Metal Movements. Keep up the great work, Stay Ruthless!
  • I was 16 in 1980 and saw so many of these bands live. I am more of a progressive rock fan now but still listen to a lot of this stuff. The ones I listen to most (Iron Maiden excepted) are: - Witchfynde ‘Give em Hell’ (my absolute favourite) - Tygers of Pan Tang ‘Wildcat’ (raw as hell) - Wolf ‘Edge of the World’ (should have been MASSIVE) - Witchfinder General ‘Friends of Hell’ (some bangers on this) - Omega ‘the Prophet’ (obscure classic) - Dark Star ‘Dark Star’ - Diamond Head debut (saw them live 5 times during this time) - Quartz live album (the track ‘Dracula’ may be my favourite track of the genre?) - Angelwitch ‘Angelwitch’ Just for the record, I really like the more recent Holocaust stuff.
