  • I'm 73 yrs.old, I can work from 5am to 5pm. Cleaning my house, garden ,cooking . Calling my Oldies friend all over the world once awhile say hello to them.
  • Loved Dr. Hyman’s book 10 Day Detox Diet! I am a sugar and food junkie. I followed his diet for 6 months lost 40 lbs. Age spots disappeared in 2 weeks. 2 years later meat and veggies, 16-8 intermittent fasting. Weight never returned. Feel great! 😊 I feel Dr. Hyman saved my life!

Laugh at me if you will but once I turned 50 I never dated a man who wasn't at least 14 years younger than me and I think that has kept me young

What should we be eating... 1. Colourful foods and vegetables. - eat wild foods like seaweed, wild strawberries etc. - Rich array of fydo chemicals. - Green tea. - Red grape skins. - Cacumin - Mushrooms. - Garlic. - Onions. 2. Fats - olive oil. - Omega 3. 3. Proteins - Needed for muscle. - Find a balance by not eating for at least 12 hours in a row (16 is better). - Need quality protein. Lucin is key and you don't get much from plant protein. - You need more as you get older. - Have 1-1.5 hours after exercise. - You'll need to have more exercise + protein as you get older. 4. Went off on a tangent a bit. 5. Take pleasure in food/enjoy the experience.
  • I am 54 years old and feel and look much younger. I always just believed myself to be young and feel young and so it is. have fun with your life, be playful, laugh a lot and treat yourself right and slather that lotion on your face and skin ❤ also, I’ve never taken any medicine, except for when I was very young and in the past for the occasional headache… now the medicine I take, is meditation and sunshine and eating right and exercising

I'm in my 70's, I eat no meat, total plant based, I have nuts everyday. I haven't been to a Doctor since 1988, I exercise everyday. Still excellent muscle structure.
  • My grandmother lived until 92 and was still with all her faculty, sharp like her Lazer beam. She never stayed in hospital and never have an illness except for occasional colds. We live on a isolated island and self sufficient.
  • Our emotions rule our bodies - stress is a killer - literally - I love dr Hyman
  • Taking care of yourself as a job is an amazing way of living
  • I ‘m so disappointed in humanity and our lack for caring enough to feed our children healthy!!! It’s a given we must care for our bodies to be around for our families! Thank you for sharing and hopefully inspiring humanity with your knowledge!
  • My Grandma passed at the age of 103, she was mentally very sharp and physically, she had more energy and she was a Vegan!!!!❤

  • A Revelation of information for me, I hope it's not too late for me to use this ammunition in my fight against Cancer🙏🏽
  • I don’t drink any milk now including nuts and seeds milk. I only drink mineral water. Everything in moderation even good stuff. Some vegetables are high in oxalates and lectins, I would cut them out as much as possible. Broccoli rabe, broccoli, broccoli sprouts are safe to eat. Cabbage whether red or green and moderate amount of arugula are also my favorites. All soy foods, corn products and potatoes are eliminated from my diet. Organic red onions, garlics, gingers, scallions and turmeric roots and a teaspoon of Manuka honey are my favourites to be added to my hot lemon water and teas. I find it’s very difficult to find nutritional foods while I am outside my home. All restaurants whether high ends or fast food take out cook their foods in ‘junk’ oils like vegetable oils. I can guarantee that no restaurant cooks the food in high quality EVOO.
  • I am definitely a believer in one's mindset.. Positive minds and possibility thinking. And we can change about anything in our lives. Even if we were to be handicapped or limited in some ways there's the usually other possibilities/options that exist. At 67 and recently diagnosed w HBP and High Cholesterol, I embarked on a revamping of my diet, exercise, learning about ketones, Paleo diet, or lifestyle changes to reduce stress/ inflammation. The top priorities are to bring down the cholesterol and HBP, lose weight, reduce inflammation, heal damaged nerves, avoid pollution, chemicals in foods and beverages, stress, and reduce clutter in the home. Learn or relearn how to get ample/good sleep, meditation, do things I truly enjoy while eliminating those I don't care for. I have been recording, tweaking, keeping a detailed journal on most all the foods I eat. And beverages. I drink little milk. Eat much less cheese n meats. I am now finally getting better at planning my daily intake of food. The "numbers" ... I make sure I exercise, walk, and dancercise daily. Use some hand weights at home, do wall push-ups, aka look for ways to do some resistance exercises in home. I can get down n on the floor with a little more ease. I will try to get back into yoga stretches. Doing chair yoga at the YMCA presently. Hoping to eventually get back to calisthenics. I use a fitness app to track steps. 🚶‍♀️ And, I just signed up for the YMCAs 21 days reset. To help me focused/committed through February. Good luck with each of your personal health and wellness journeys. Update the twenty one day reset program went very well. Earned my t-shirt. And have lost fifteen pounds I think at least, since the first of the year. 15-20 more to go. Best wishes to everyone iut there. 🤲💞💞💝
  • EATING WITH JOY! I've been preaching this for decades - thanks! 80% of the time, be conscious of what you're eating and fuel your best you. 20% of the time, eat with absolute joy and celebrate the people you're with, tastes in your mouth, music that's playing....being alive. Regret nothing of the celebration. Because you've cared so lovingly for yourself 80% of the time, you can completely enjoy those essential celebrations (which could be as mundane as finally getting together with a friend you've not seen in ages). Embrace the love of life.

LOOK INTO AN INSURANCE THAT WILL COVER FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE. Most insurances deny all functional medicine dx and treatment. Maybe create your own? Maybe Amazon insurance? Coverage is key and then, the functional medicine will take off as it deserves.
